Chellah Ruins in Rabat

Back in June I had a group get together with some of my fabulous friends from across the country. It was so nice to relax and see some sites. We took the opportunity to visit the 'Chellah' another one of Morocco's ancient Roman sites. It was hard to get much of a history lesson from any of our guidebooks, but it was stunning. (The legions of storks living all over the grounds are not pictured.)

Just Keep Swimming

Chasing Waterfalls

This is my third blog post of my friend's site, Immouzer Marmoucha. I'll keep it short, but her site is so beautiful!

Eating late strawberries. Hands down the most amazing thing I've eaten here.

Cherry orchards! In my friend's site, cherries are about two dollars a kilo. So delicious...

The last of Morocco's famous poppies, one of my strongest memories of the countryside in the Middle Atlas, these flowers are everywhere...

Look Tricia, a genuine mint field!

These were our 'guides,' Kristen's students and my friends from last year's spring camp in Missour. They both speak a little English and are a true riot to hang out with.
